Bobby LaPorta

Bobby is the owner of Alpha Pistol and a dedicated firearms instructor based in Manchester. His journey into the world of firearms became in 2014 when he obtained his CT pistol permit. Instantly, he fell in love with the sport of shooting and felt a strong desire to not only expand his own knowledge but also to educate others on the safe and effective handling of firearms.

Since 2022, he has been passionately working as a firearms instructor. He holds several qualifications, including being an NRA Basics Pistol instructor, an NRA CCW instructor and a USCCA instructor. Additionally, he is a licensed FFL dealer, so he can help you with the purchase of a firearm or your transfers. These credentials reflect his commitment to providing top-tier instruction and ensuring that his students receive the best education possible.

His primary focus is on teaching the pistol permit course required for obtaining a Connecticut or Utah pistol permit. These courses are designed to equip individuals with the necessary attitude, knowledge and skills to handle pistols safely and confidently.

Kyle Metzler

Kyle is a USCCA-Certified Firearms Instructor with a passion for the world of firearms. He became a firearms instructor through his belief that everyone has the right to defend themselves. With extensive training in firearms and self defense, his goal is to teach others the skills and knowledge needed to handle firearms safely, while empowering everyone with the ability to defend themselves and their loved ones. His dedication to this cause is not just a profession, but a commitment to fostering a safer community.

Classes

CT & UT Pistol Permit Certification

The “USCCA Concealed Carry & Home Defense course” is a course designed to teach you the knowledge, skills and attitude necessary for owning and using a pistol safely. This is a requirement of the state and the first step in order to obtain your CT or UT Pistol Permit.
